SECANT-PX: Parts Explosion

The SECANT-PX application explodes an order book of assemblies (cabinets, windows, doors, blinds, laminates, etc) into a list of component parts. SECANT-PX is available either as a stand-alone product or fully integrated with the SECANT cut planning package.

• SECANT-PX is more than just a bill of materials database for a catalogue of standard products. 
• SECANT PX lets you specify the properties and dimensions of the components in terms of the properties and dimensions of the product being exploded using a spreadsheet type language.
• SECANT-PX supports a multi-level explosion from assemblies to sub-assemplies to components to simplify the construction of the library of explosion rules.

These features make it ideal for manufactures with a high proportion of  special orders  (non-standard bespoke products).

The software can be integrated with the SECANT cut planning package to produce cutting patterns and saw control files from the exploded component lists. Integration with other systems by the import of order books from standard databases and spreadsheets is fully supported.
